TENT BUILDING FUND

We have been thinking and planning behind the scenes for a while now about the future of Tent, not just the cafe, but the whole project. We have tracked our customer base, recorded our group participants, thought about what we want to do long term and we have decided that if Tent is to achieve our future aims, we will need a bigger building. So we have launched the Tent Building Fund!

So a month ago Rob Waltham from the head of North Lincolnshire Council, made us an offer of £25k towards buying a building in the town centre.. we were hoping it was ours, but we’re also looking for something bigger.. we’ve become a massive community and need a forever home.

So this summer we are launching lots of ways for our community to help support this!

One campaign is ‘Buy a Brick’, each brick is £250 per individual or group, £500 as a business to be included in an advertising package. Everyone to buy a brick will be added to our Gratitude Plaque, which will celebrate everyone who helped.

We will launch our ‘TentStyle Project’ next week where we encourage people to create a group between 2-8 people to raise money together. Their group name will be on the Gratitude Plaque. Each group will be entered for prizes and be given a special fabric patch at the end of the project.
